U-pick Vineyard
Wander the rows, select the ripest clusters, and take home your harvest for wine, juice, jelly, and more. Our seasonal u-pick vineyard experience runs mid-August through early October by appointment.

We grow two exceptional grape varieties—Vidal Blanc and Vignoles—known for their distinctive flavors and versatility in producing everything from crisp, refreshing wines to flavorful juices, jellies, and more.
Vineyard Services
At Blackmeyer, we make your harvest easy with destemming, crushing, and pressing services. Transportation is available between the parking lot and the vineyard for you and your harvest, and containters for juice can be purchased on-site.

The Vignoles harvest typically begins in late August and runs through mid-September.

Yes. We are open during harvest season by appointment only in order to provide our guests with a relaxed, personalized experience.

We’ll welcome you, explain which grapes are ready, and show you how to select and harvest the best clusters. Transportation is provided between the parking area and vineyard. After picking, we’ll bring you and your harvest back to the processing area.

Not at all. First-time visitors are welcome. Our staff will show you how to identify ripe grapes, harvest them properly, and handle the fruit. We’ll also be available to answer questions throughout your visit.

Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing suitable for the weather. You will be reaching into the vines to pick the grapes, so you may want long-sleeves. We recommend bringing sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, and water. You may also bring snacks.
Bring containers for transporting your grapes, or purchase food-grade five-gallon buckets at the farm.

Most visits take approximately two to three hours. Your visit may be shorter or longer depending on how many grapes you plan to harvest and whether you would like your grapes processed before leaving.

Vignoles: $1.25 / lb
We offer increasing discounts for larger quanities of grapes purchased. For more details, see our Pricing Guide.

The amount depends on what you plan to make. As a general guideline, home winemakers often use approximately 80–100 pounds of grapes for five gallons of wine. Juice and jelly recipes require smaller quantities. Tell us what you would like to make, and we’ll help you estimate the right amount.

Yes. To help you get your grapes ready for winemaking, we offer on-site destemming and crushing services. These services are complimentary for harvests of 100 pounds or more. For smaller harvests, we offer the same service for a small processing fee of $10.

Yes! Children are welcome with adult supervision, and leashed pets are welcome. Please remember that this is a working farm with uneven ground, equipment, and active harvesting, so children and pets should remain close to their group.
