About Our Grapes
What We Offer
At Blackmeyer Farm & Vineyard, we grow two French-American hybrid grape varieties: Vignoles and Vidal Blanc. Known for their distinctive flavors, adaptability, and versatility, these grapes are excellent for home winemakers and are equally well suited for juice, jelly, and other homemade creations.
Vidal Blanc Grapes
The Vidal Blanc grape is a French-American hybrid valued for its versatility, hardiness, and ability to produce high-quality white wines. Its thick-skinned berries ripen with a balanced combination of sugar and acidity, making it a favorite choice for home winemakers. Vidal Blanc is used to craft a wide range of wine styles—from crisp, dry whites with notes of citrus and green apple to rich, sweet dessert and ice wines. It is also well suited for fresh juice and jelly, making it popular among both winemakers and home food preservers.Quick Facts:

Its small, tightly clustered berries develop high sugar levels while retaining vibrant acidity, making it a favorite among home winemakers.
